Job summary

Techtronic Industries is seeking a Design Engineer III to lead hands‑on mechanical design for outdoor power equipment. You will own concept to production development, ensuring robust, manufacturable, and cost‑effective solutions.

The role partners with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and global suppliers to deliver production‑ready designs. You will apply DFMEA inputs, run validation tests, and drive design decisions with data.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of design experience in consumer/industrial/electromechanical products.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and GD&T, with robust drawing practices.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end mechanical design from concept to production release.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and specifications.
• Perform design trade‑offs on performance, cost, weight, and manufacturability.
• Lead design verification, validation, and documentation of changes.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and suppliers.
