Job summary

Corporate Interiors is seeking a Design Engineer I, CIM to apply CAD/CAM tools for cabinetry, millwork and furniture components. You will plan machining sequences, select tools, and optimize processes to meet design specifications and production goals.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in engineering across all disciplines.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and drafting standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Uses CAD/CAM tools to design and nest cabinetry, millwork and furniture components.
• Plans machining by studying orders, drawings, materials and tolerances; defines GD&T.
• Determines tool paths, select cutting tools, and sequences machine operations.
• Revises programs, runs tests and ensures tooling meets specs.
• Observes machine runs and simulations to confirm proper function.
