Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL, is hiring a Design Engineer to design, develop, build and implement new components or technologies. You will perform analysis, validation, and release of engineering documents, while coordinating with manufacturing and supplier teams.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering, strong 3D modeling with Creo and Teamcenter, and ability to manage multiple priorities. On-site work five days per week with travel up to 10%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
- Experience with heavy equipment, off-highway machines, or related mechanical systems preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate technical decisions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, build, and implement new components or technologies.
- Perform engineering analysis, validation, and design reviews.
- Own engineering documentation, BOMs, and release processes.
- Resolve production and supply issues, address deviations and obsolescence.
- Collaborate with system teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and QA.
