Job summary

Tate in the United States is seeking a Design Engineer to manage new product creation, engineering changes, and qualification processes for data center products, BOMs, and labor routings. You will create quotes for non-standard pricing, maintain engineering drawings and specifications, and support manufacturing with new process development.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial engineering or related STEM field and 3–8 years of manufacturing experience; proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial engineering or STEM field.
• 3–8 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong CAD skills and SolidWorks proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develops processes for new families of products with production, purchasing, quality, and operations teams.
• Proactively accounts for potential changes to designs and future-proofing where possible.
• Creates quotes for new design and maintains design history throughout quoting process.
• Maintains engineering drawings and specifications.
• Administers processes for new part number creation, BOM/labor changes, and new product quote requests.
• Interprets project needs from customer or project manager and communicates feasibility, lead times, and challenges.
