Job summary

Jobot, a market leader in heavy manufacturing, seeks a Design Engineer in Minnesota to drive tooling design and casting optimization.

You will build tooling in SolidWorks, run MAGMA simulations, and lead yield improvements across the casting process while collaborating with customers and account managers on new product development.

Salary up to $100,000 per year; requires 2+ years of CAD/casting experience and an associate degree (bachelor's preferred).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related field.
• Two+ years hands-on CAD modeling, blueprint reading, and design for manufacturability.
• Manufacturing background in foundry, tooling design, casting simulation or CNC machining is a strong plus.
• Strong problem solver who communicates well and works across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine tooling using SolidWorks in support of ductile iron casting programs.
• Run casting simulations in MAGMA to validate designs before they hit the floor.
• Own yield improvement and continuous improvement work across the casting process.
• Partner directly with customers and account managers on new product development.
• Support quoting, product launches, testing and validation from start to finish.
• Bring new technology and process improvements into the operation.
