Job summary

Datrose is seeking a Design Engineer with an Active Secret Security Clearance for an onsite Grand Prairie, TX assignment. The role requires Creo design, Windchill PLM, and strong 3D modeling capabilities to design major components and optimize manufacturability.

The candidate will coordinate with cross-functional teams, prepare design reviews, and develop detailed 3D models and GD&T specifications for complex mechanical/electrical systems. Secret clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience with Creo design.
• At least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Mechanical primary and secondary structures experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with Concept development.
• At least 1 year of experience with Design review content preparation.
• At least 4 years experience with Create Finished 3D Models.
• At least 2 years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• At least 2 years experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts.
• 3D Models 4 - 6 Years.

Responsibilities

• Designs major components or major portions of a functional system or prototype.
• Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.
• Develops data and sketches to present design proposals considering manufacturability and material availability.
• Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.
• Creates layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices and products.
• Checks layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, and accuracy of calculations and dimensions.
• Identifies design errors and recommends revisions to responsible engineers or designers.
