Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering Inc. seeks 3 Design Engineer openings for a 1-year contract requiring Active Secret or Interim Secret clearance.

The role focuses on designing major components and assemblies, developing layouts, and coordinating with manufacturing and other teams to ensure adherence to specifications. Responsibilities include creating finished 3D models, supporting concept development and design reviews, and applying GD&T and modern design practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Creo design experience.
• Minimum 2 years Windchill PLM/PDM Mechanical experience (primary/secondary structures).
• At least 1 year Concept development experience.
• At least 1 year Design review content preparation experience.
• Minimum 4 years Create Finished 3D Models experience.
• Minimum 2 years Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Designs major components or major portions of a functional system, or advanced prototype or products.
• Develops layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals and presentations.
• Coordinates with other organizations during design development and checks layouts for accuracy and conformity to standards.

Job description

Active Secret or Active Interim Secret Clearance is needed. 3 Design Engineer openings. 1 year contract positions.

Designs major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products. Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.

Required Experience

• Candidate must have at least 3 years experience with Creo design.


• Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM Mechanical primary and secondary structures


• At least 1 year of experience with Concept development


• At least 1 year of experience with Design review content preparation


• Candidate must have at least 4 years experience with Create Finished 3D Models
