icreatives is hiring a Design Engineer to bridge design and engineering, elevating customer-facing experiences with scalable UI components and robust design systems. You’ll work at the intersection of AI-enabled tooling and frontend development to deliver production-ready interfaces.

Bring a design-first background, leadership in component ecosystems, and strong coding ability to implement reusable UI patterns in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS across complex interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product, UX, digital, or design systems roles with 'Designer' in title
• Advanced Figma skills for scalable component ecosystems
• Strong frontend knowledge to build reusable UI components (React, TS, HTML, CSS)
• Experience governing design systems across growing product environments
• Understanding of design architecture: tokens, spacing, reusable patterns
• Proven delivery of production-ready UI components used in customer-facing products
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development platforms to accelerate workflows
• Ability to combine design thinking with technical execution and AI-enabled improvements

They're looking for a Design Engineer who can bridge design and engineering while helping elevate the quality, consistency, and scalability of every customer-facing experience. We're looking for a designer who codes, not an engineer who designs. Your current and recent experience should reflect a design-first background with strong front-end capabilities.

What You'll Be Working With:

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of full-time experience in product, UX, digital, or design systems roles with "Designer" in your title
• Advanced expertise in Figma, including creating, organizing, and scaling sophisticated component ecosystems
• Strong command of modern frontend technologies, with the ability to develop reusable UI components using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Extensive experience designing, evolving, and governing design systems across growing product environments
• Deep understanding of design architecture, including tokens, spacing methodologies, reusable patterns, and maintaining consistency across complex interfaces
• Demonstrated success delivering production-ready UI components that are actively used within customer-facing products
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted development platforms such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to accelerate and enhance development workflows
• Proven ability to combine design thinking with technical execution to create scalable, maintainable product experiences
• Strong perspective on where AI can improve efficiency, quality, and collaboration throughout the design and development process

This is a 100% onsite/hybrid position based in the San Francisco Bay area. You will be working 6 days a week: M-F onsite, with Sundays WFH.
