Job summary

Hensley Industries is seeking a Design Engineer in Dallas, TX to design and refine 3-D models and drawings for new products, and to revise existing designs. You will develop concepts, test prototypes, and collaborate with QC/QA and Sales to provide technical data.

The role requires Creo Parametric proficiency, experience in 2D drawings, and familiarity with PLM (Windchill) and FEA tools (Creo Simulate/ANSYS). Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in 3D design, solid modeling, and assemblies using Creo Parametric
• 2+ years of experience in 2D components and assemblies drawings using Creo Parametric
• Experience in surface modeling using Creo Parametric preferred
• 1+ years of experience in FEA using Creo Simulate or Ansys preferred
• 1+ years of experience with PLM software Windchill preferred
• Experience in new product development and revising existing products
• Experience with wear parts in construction/mining equipment is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Design / create 3-D models & engineering drawings for new product
• Revise 3-D models & engineering drawings for existing products
• Research, develop new concepts, & test prototypes
• Assist in first article samples inspection, make corrections & request changes
• Assist in resolving product related customer complaints
• Provide technical data to QC/QA and Sales
• Assist Manufacturing with rework reduction and control
• Perform other duties as assigned
