Qualifications

• Knowledge of sheet metal processes such as punching and welding.
• MRP experience: item master, bill of materials, etc.
• Experience with sheet metal laboratory casework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret customer drawings to prepare BOMs.
• Create and modify SW models for product drawings.
• Engage with manufacturing to ensure design accuracy.
• Create and modify SW models to design products for drawings or WinCAT.
• Engage with manufacturing to design error-free parts and understand parts flow through the plant.
• Manage projects from design through manufacture to assembly.

Job Title: Design Engineer

Work Location: Union City, TN

Job Type: Full-time

Reports to: Director of Engineering - UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret customer drawings, to prepare BOMs for project release to manufacturing
• Read customers order entry system, WinCAT, to prepare BOM's for project release to manufacturing
• Work with engineering manager or coordinator to schedule projects
• Create and modify SW models to create products for drawings or WinCAT
• Engage with manufacturing to design error free parts and understand how parts flow through the plant
• Ability to work with engineers overseers, including scheduling, prioritizing, and per reviewing their work
• Ability to manage your own projects from design, manufacturer, to assembly

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• 3D modeling experience, SolidWorks preferred
• Sheet metal experience: punching, laser, forming, welding, etc.
• MRP experience: item master, bill of material, etc.
• Experience with sheet metal laboratory casework is a plus
