Job summary

Titan Formwork Systems in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Civil/Structural engineer to prepare formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for customers. You will troubleshoot structural design issues with the project team and build strong customer relationships to win projects and reduce risk.

The role requires understanding of formwork systems, OSHA safety standards, and proficiency with CAD tools. EIT is a plus; 0-2 years experience acceptable. This is a full-time on-site position in Tempe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, structural, or construction engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years minimum experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided design using formwork methods.
• Experience reading structural drawings and performing CAD using formwork methods.
• Knowledge of construction formwork systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with thoroughness, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels, customers and vendors.
• Advanced PC skills in Windows, including Excel data analysis and preparing correspondence in Outlook and Word.
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements and regulations.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM Modeling is a plus.
• EIT license.

Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Participates in and oversees the preparation of accurate formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for Customers.
• Troubleshoots and resolves concerns regarding structural design with project team.
• Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.
• Contributes to the projects safety goals by reducing hazards during the design planning state ensuring that all formwork systems meet construction and safety standards.
• Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related engineering degree.
• 0-2 years minimum in experience of reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided
  design utilizing formwork engineering methods.
• Experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided design utilizing formwork engineering methods.
• Knowledge of construction formwork systems.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, with an emphasis on thoroughness, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
• Advanced PC skills, specifically in a Windows environment, including collecting and analyzing data in Excel, and creating documents and preparing correspondence in Outlook and Word.
• Knowledgeable of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM Modeling is a plus.
• EIT License.
