Job summary

iRiS Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Design Engineer in Nashville to design, validate, and launch OEM equipment. You will produce 3D models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs while ensuring compliance with standards and quality guidelines.

You will collaborate with Standards, QA, Sales, and Customer Service to resolve field issues and drive product improvements across lifecycle stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or OEM.
• Hands‑on knowledge of sheet metal design, forming, and fabrication.
• 3D solid modeling experience (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or CATIA).

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and launch new OEM‑grade equipment while optimizing mature product lines.
• Generate 3D solid models, 2D fabrication drawings, and structured Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Serve as a technical resource for assembly troubleshooting and field diagnostics.
• Coordinate with Standards Engineers and Quality Assurance to verify compliance.
• Provide engineering support to Sales and Customer Service teams.

This hands‑on role oversees the entire product lifecycle – transforming conceptual designs into production‑ready equipment, solving complex technical challenges, and ensuring all assemblies comply with quality and industry standards.

An established electrical Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in custom, high‑reliability electro‑mechanical equipment built on precision engineering and durable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and launch new OEM‑grade equipment while optimizing mature product lines
• Generate 3D solid models, 2D fabrication drawings, and structured Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Serve as a technical resource for assembly troubleshooting and field diagnostics
