Job summary

MACOM is seeking a RF Pallet Design Engineer to design and test high power RF pallets and modules for commercial, aerospace, and defense applications. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team across locations to develop single- and multi-stage pallets and optimize GaN power amplifiers for customer-specific needs.

The role involves designing, simulating, building, and testing prototypes, ensuring manufacturability, transferring products to production, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or similar field with 3+ years experience, or Master's degree with 1+ years experience.
• Familiarity with RF circuit architecture and RF module system design
• Experience in advanced high power RF measurements, GaN power amplifiers, mixed signal systems, and/or power management circuits.
• Familiarity with standard test equipment (network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, power meters, etc.) and strong hands-on RF test skills.
• Experience with EDA/ECAD tools such as Keysight ADS, MWO, Altium, HFSS or similar simulations tools.
• Familiarity with MCAD (Solidworks or AutoCAD) or thermal simulations a plus.
• Experience with PCB layout and signal integrity analysis

Responsibilities

• Document, characterize, and release pallet products for high volume production.

Overview:

The RF Pallet Design Engineer will design and test high power RF pallets and modules for various commercial, aerospace, and defense applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work in a multi-disciplinary team across multiple locations to develop single- and multi-stage RF pallets and module products.
• Be responsible for designing, simulating, building, and testing power amplifier pallets.

Job Qualifications:
