NorthPoint Development is seeking a Design Engineer for its SitePoint team in Kansas City, MO. This on-site role involves collaborating with engineers, planners and surveyors to develop site plans, grades and utilities for large projects across industrial, data center, multifamily and retail platforms.

The position emphasizes hands-on design work with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling (PondPack), alongside submittal preparation for entitlements and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; licensure track in any state.
• Experience with site development and stormwater design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, planners and surveyors in a fast-paced team environment.
• Gain experience toward professional Engineer licensure while solving design challenges across industrial, data center, multifamily and retail platforms.
• Conceptualize site plans, define site grades and utility layouts for large projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Design stormwater facilities using PondPack and other stormwater modeling software.
• Prepare entitlement and permitting submittal documents and see designs through from inception to construction.
• Be part of a team that develops and revitalizes communities through thoughtful development.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with other engineers, planners and surveyors in a fast-paced, stimulating and inspiring team environment.
• Obtain valuable experience toward your future certification, working with licensed Professional Engineers, and build your expertise while solving interesting design challenges supporting NorthPoint’s industrial, data center, multifamily and retail development platforms.
• Conceptualize site plans, define site grades and utility layouts for large projects and detail those final designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Design and communicate efficient and effective stormwater management facilities using PondPack and other stormwater modeling software.
• Prepare entitlement and permitting submittal documents to effectively communicate your designs with municipalities and contractors and see those designs from inception through construction.
• Be at the center of a team of technically minded developers, reporting your recommendations for how best to create new developments and revitalize abandoned properties to help communities grow and thrive.

Who You Are
