Job summary

NorthPoint Development LLC in Kansas City area seeks a Land Development Designer to join the SitePoint team. This on-site role collaborates with engineers, planners and surveyors to design site plans, master plans, grading, and detailed landscape layouts for industrial, data center, multifamily and retail developments.

You will prepare reports, contribute to 3D visualizations, and manage entitlement and permitting submittals from inception through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, planning, or a related field.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, LandFX, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Willingness to pursue applicable licensure or certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, planners and surveyors on design projects.
• Develop site plans, master plans, grading and landscape design.
• Research site information and prepare detailed reports for site selection.
• Create 3D visualizations and graphic presentations.
• Prepare entitlement and permitting submittal documents for municipalities.
• Guide designs from inception through construction with contractors.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and surveyors in a fast-paced, stimulating and inspiring team environment.
• Obtain valuable experience towards future certification, working with licensed Landscape Architects and Professional Planners, building your expertise designing for NorthPoint's industrial, data center, multifamily and retail development platforms.
• Conceptualize site plans, master plans, preliminary grading, and detailed landscape design.
• Research and create detailed reports to inform site selection.
• Contribute to 3D visualizations and graphic presentations for a variety of project types.
• Prepare entitlement and permitting submittal documents to effectively communicate your designs with municipalities and contractors and see those designs from inception through construction.
• Be at the center of a team of technically minded developers, reporting your recommendations for how best to create desirable spaces and revitalize abandoned properties to help communities grow and thrive.

Who You Are

• You have a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, planning, or a related field, and are considering obtaining an applicable certification or license.
