Centuri is seeking a Design Drafter Lead in the United States to oversee drafting teams, ensure technical accuracy, and serve as the primary link between junior drafters, supervisors and customers.

You will mentor staff, produce complex 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

Qualificações

• 2+ years drafting experience with leadership or project coordination.
• Associate’s degree or CAD certificate in drafting or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software and BIM familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and review work from junior drafters to ensure accuracy and deadlines.
• Produce 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software per specs.
• Ensure plans meet customer requirements and safety standards.
• Bridge gaps with project managers and field teams to resolve design issues.

• Review drawings for geometry, dimensions, and text before submission.
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

As a Design Drafter Lead you will oversee drafting teams, ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliances, and serve as the primary link between junior drafters, supervisors and customers.

What You'll Do

• Oversee, mentor, and review work from junior and intermediate drafters to guarantee precision and adherence to project deadlines.
• Produce complex 2D technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit) based on engineer or architect specifications.
• Ensure all plans comply with customer requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Bridge gaps with project managers and construction teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Assess project timelines and assign drafting tasks based on team capacity and individual skill levels.
• Coordinate training sessions for new hires on company-specific CAD templates and specialized software plugins.
• Perform thorough geometric, dimensional, and text-based reviews on all drawings before final submission to eliminate errors.
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

What You'll Have

• 2+ years of hands on drafting experience, with prior leadership or project coordination experience
• Associate’s degree or vocational certificate in drafting, computer aided design (CAD), or a related engineering technology field
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and familiarity with database tools like Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership capabilities, and clear communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
• Flexibility to work different schedules and stay late with little or no notice
