Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Design Drafter II to support trailer manufacturing in Cresco, IA. You will design CAD models, generate BOMs, and prepare engineering documentation to sustain quality, cost, delivery, and safety goals.

In this role you will collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams, participate in design reviews, and drive manufacturability improvements. You will contribute to continuous improvement efforts while maintaining accuracy and taking ownership of

Qualifications

• Strong CAD and technical documentation skills with attention to drawing accuracy.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and aluminum fabrication processes.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering docs.
• Support trailer design, customization, and product development activities.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams to support product development and manufacturing.
• Drive improvements in manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure designs and docs meet standards and customer requirements.
• Deliver assigned work on schedule.
• Maintain high accuracy in drawings and docs.
• Help reduce rework and production disruptions through design support.
• Support customer satisfaction through quality products and responsive design support.
• Contribute to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
