Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Design Drafter II to join a high-performance trailer manufacturing team in Cresco, IA. You will create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation while supporting design, development, and process improvements.

Candidates should have strong CAD skills, knowledge of aluminum fabrication, and the ability to collaborate across Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams to deliver quality products on schedule.

• Strong CAD and technical documentation skills, with a high level of attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and aluminum fabrication processes.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Support trailer design, customization, and product development activities.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams to support successful product development and manufacturing.
• Drive improvements in manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
• Ensure designs and documentation comply with company standards and customer requirements.
• Deliver assigned work according to established schedules.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in drawings and engineering documentation.
• Help reduce rework and production disruptions through accurate and effective design support.
• Support customer satisfaction through quality products and responsive design support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned work.
