Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Design Drafter II to join our high-performance trailer manufacturing team in Cresco, IA. This role focuses on CAD design, engineering documentation, customization, and product development while upholding quality, cost, delivery, and safety standards.

You will create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and technical documents; participate in design reviews; collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality; and drive manufacturability and cost

Qualifications

• Education aligned with the Design Drafter II role level.
• Experience in CAD modeling and documentation is expected.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Support trailer design, customization, and product development activities.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams to support product development.
• Drive improvements in manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
• Ensure designs and documentation comply with standards and customer requirements.
• Deliver assigned work according to schedules.
• Maintain high accuracy in drawings and documentation.
• Reduce rework and disruptions through effective design support.
• Support customer satisfaction through quality products and responsive design support.
• Contribute to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
