Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Design Manager - Advanced Delivery to lead the integration of design and construction teams, delivering coordinated, constructible designs for advanced delivery models including Design-Build, IPD, P3, and EPC.

You will drive design risk management, establish schedules, coordinate with VDC and field teams, and ensure alignment with budget and schedule while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in design/project management for large-scale construction.
• Proven experience with advanced delivery models (Design-Build, IPD, P3, EPC).

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of design and construction teams during proposals.
• Define technical scope, manage RFIs, and ensure bridging documents.
• Develop and maintain design deliverable schedules aligned with procurement and build phases.
• Oversee design progression to ensure alignment with budget, schedule, and constructability; lead value engineering.
• Facilitate design charrettes, owner approvals, and risk assessments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
