Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Design Manager - Advanced Delivery to lead the integration of design and construction teams, ensuring constructible, cost-effective designs across Design-Build, IPD, P3 and EPC projects.

You will guide scope, risk, and schedule while partnering with preconstruction and field teams to drive design excellence and project readiness for execution. Advanced delivery experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred in related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in design/project management for large-scale construction.
• Proven experience with advanced delivery models (Design-Build, IPD, P3, EPC).
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of design and construction teams for coordinated, constructible designs.
• Define technical scope, manage RFIs, and bridge documents.
• Develop and maintain design deliverable schedules aligned with procurement and build phases.
• Oversee design progression to ensure alignment with budget and schedule.
• Facilitate design charrettes, owner approvals, and team chartering.
• Coordinate permitting processes and related schedules.
• Oversee and validate design team invoices and cost management.
• Mentor and develop team members to achieve high performance.
