Job summary

QVC Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Design Consultant to elevate guest experiences through scheduled appointments, studio and home visits, and on-demand design time. You will partner with other Design Consultants to promote external outreach to grow our market reach and empower guests to customize their spaces.

The role reports to the Assistant Store Manager and requires 2+ years in interior design, space planning skills, basic drafting, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in interior design, consultation, and event planning.
• Strong space planning skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural floor plans.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Conduct Home Visits with established guests and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide design expertise for scheduled appointments (Studio and Home visits), virtual appointments, and on-demand design time.
• Identify and network with local organizations and businesses that would benefit from Design Solutions services and provide marketing materials.
• Support the retail store team in order entry, visual floorsets and merchandising reinforcement of store standards and training.

As a Design Consultant, you will be responsible for many facets of elevating our guest experience with an emphasis on nurturing the growth of our complimentary design service. Your partnership with other Design Consultants will help promote external outreach within the community to support and expand our current market reach. You are the champion of guest engagement so that our guests will experience an inspiring shopping event where they feel empowered to customize their space.


• You will report to the Assistant Store Manager.

Where You'll Work

• This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Columbus, OH Frontgate location daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You'll Do

• Provide design expertise for scheduled appointments (Studio and Home visits), virtual appointments, and "on-demand" design time.


• Identify and network with local organizations and businesses that would benefit from Design Solutions services and provide them with DS marketing materials.


• Support the retail store team in varied responsibilities, including, order entry, visual floorsets and merchandising reinforcement of store maintenance and standards, and product training activities.

What You'll Bring

• 2+ year's experience in interior design, consultation, and event planning.


• Space planning skills.


• Employ basic drafting skills with the ability to read and interpret architectural plans and basic floor plans.


• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Conduct Home Visits with established guests and a valid driver's license.
