Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant in Los Angeles to engage customers on the sales floor and assist with tile, wood, stone and accessory selections.

You will schedule design appointments, develop clientele through networking, and partner with store leadership to achieve sales goals while delivering complete design solutions.

This entry-level role requires 1+ years of retail or customer service experience, a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail/customer service experience.
• High school diploma and/or GED.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates a minimum of 6 months with Floor & Decor.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects with accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales goals.
• Support company initiatives and coach best practices with store employees.
• Understand and utilize design applications (Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProject).

Pay Range$18.57 - $21.90Purpose:The Design Consultant at Floor & Decor is the entry point into design and is responsible for engaging customers on the sales floor to support their design projects, conduct design appointments with customers to determine design needs in the selection of tile, wood, stone, and accessory products of various colors textures, patterns, and design.
