LogicSource is seeking a Design & Construction Director to own client category strategy on our Center of Excellence team. This role directs category planning, guides negotiations, and translates business objectives into actionable strategies that deliver measurable value.

You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, aligning vendor management and COE resources with client priorities. The position requires deep D&C expertise, senior-level influence, and the ability to lead complex, high-value

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience determined by hiring manager.
10+ years of experience in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Project Advisory Consulting and category management, strategic sourcing, procurement consulting, or outsourced procurement services.
Experience leading D&C category strategy and delivering results in client-facing or advisory settings; healthcare, higher education, retail and life sciences experience a plus.
Proven experience managing sourcing and procurement events across the Design and Construction supply chain from planning through turnover.
Expertise in California design and construction laws and regulatory requirements preferred.
Ability to influence senior-level executives and stakeholders in complex, matrixed environments.
Experience managing vendor relationships and supporting high-value contract negotiations.
Diplomacy, consensus-building, and cross-functional leadership.
Entrepreneurial mindset with focus on client service and value creation.
Willingness to utilize AI technologies and LLMs to optimize workflow and deliverables.
Polished communicator and presenter, both formally and informally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Excel-based financial analysis and PowerPoint; Power BI is a plus.
Experience driving operational transformation and organizational change management.
Strong problem-solving, judgment, and leadership capabilities.
Ability to operate strategically while overseeing execution details.

Client Advisory & D&C Category Leadership
Serve as the primary strategic category leader and advisor for assigned client and category
Partner with client and functional leaders to understand objectives, constraints, and priorities
Translate client goals into category strategies, value levels, and execution roadmaps
Lead COE delivery of sourcing events, negotiations, and contract execution
Set strategic direction and priorities for COE resources
Provide governance, decision support, and quality oversight throughout sourcing and contracting cycles
Develop and execute innovative sourcing solutions and playbooks
Utilize proprietary practices to achieve measurable savings and value
Guide negotiation strategies and supplier positioning
Review supplier selections and contract structures for value and risk
Analyze Capital Delivery Supply Chain opportunities and present to clients
Own category-level performance, savings, and risk management
Establish KPIs and transparent reporting
Identify additional opportunities for value and innovation
Stakeholder and supplier engagement across procurement, finance, legal and business teams
Lead and contribute to practice optimization and framework evolution
