Job summary

Presidio Bay Ventures, Inc. (PBV) in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Design & Construction Associate Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of high-profile Bay Area projects.

You will assist planning, coordinating design, permitting, and preconstruction activities while coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery. You will work under senior leadership, gain mentorship, and help redefine Class A office environments in today’s evolving market.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in construction management, architecture, engineering, commercial construction, real estate development, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage administrative responsibilities across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Project, or similar software is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn from experienced development and construction professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of tenant improvement, capital improvement, repositioning, placemaking, and office relocation projects across multiple active projects and clients.
  • Assist with project planning, design coordination, permitting, and preconstruction activities.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, brokers, and local agencies to support successful project delivery.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes, distribute action items, and follow up with project teams to ensure accountability.
  • Maintain project documentation, including contract logs, consultant trackers, team directories, contact lists, permit logs, and other project management tools.
  • Assist with processing consultant contracts, invoices, billing coordination, monthly reporting, budget tracking, and project forecasting.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, procurement activities, and key deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders for coordination and completeness.
  • Perform regular site visits to document construction progress, photograph field conditions, and assist with issue resolution.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, as-built documentation, training materials, and turnover packages.
  • Contribute to design reviews and project discussions focused on quality, constructability, operational efficiency, and long-term project success.
