Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Detroit seeks a Transportation Project Manager I to lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure client satisfaction on major design-build infrastructure projects.

The role requires collaboration across disciplines, guidance to junior staff, and travel to project offices. A Bachelor’s in Engineering with relevant experience is required; PE preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in the development of project specifications.
• Develop discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
• Aids in coordination and productivity of project team members.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering staff.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Perform quality control reviews of engineering deliverables.
• Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
