Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Construction Design Build Project Manager (DBM) to oversee full lifecycle projects from concept to walkthrough. You will lead estimating, scheduling, design coordination, and cost tracking while ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

You will collaborate with clients and design teams to translate preliminary concepts into buildable solutions, participate in proposal meetings, and manage subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• Strong interest in construction processes, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds, etc.
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred but not required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in your state of residence

Responsibilities

• Lead ownership of project success from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety and proposal development
• Prepare detailed, reliable project estimates for execution
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into buildable solutions
• Participate in proposal meetings to refine scope, reduce costs, and provide value-driven engineering insights
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout to ensure cost-effective partnerships
• Facilitate bi-weekly on-site meetings to align teams and track progress
• Make confident decisions under pressure with calm leadership
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to keep scope, schedule and budget aligned
• Monitor processes to uphold quality and continuous improvement
• Transform client feedback into outcomes that exceed expectations
• Lead with integrity and deliver with purpose to ensure client satisfaction
