Job summary

Southland Industries offers an internship program in design-build, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. The project engineer intern assists design managers in coordinating projects, gaining skills in design, estimating, and scheduling within a comprehensive internship/co-op environment.

Interns will support field labor, procurement, and coordination while developing practical experience with budgeting, scheduling, and documentation in a 100% employee-owned company that values leadership,

Responsibilities

• Support field labor and logistics on project sites.
• Provide labor feedback to the project team.
• Assist in procurement of equipment and subcontractors.
• Ensure document control and proper record keeping.
• Support design, trade and subcontractor coordination.
• Assist in budget analysis and cost projections.
• Assist in developing project schedules.
