Job summary

Clark Pacific provides design-build prefabricated building systems across the Western United States. We seek an Estimator, Design Build to assist senior estimators and preconstruction managers with project estimates, subcontractor solicitation, and buyout.

You will collaborate with the DB operations team to mitigate risks and maximize margins during design. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management and 2–5 years of commercial estimating experience, with strong skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of negotiated bids, hard bids, and GMP processes.
• Experience with estimating technologies including QTO, BIM, and related tools.
• Strong math, analytics, and attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Aligned with Clark Pacific's core values.
• Value-added approach to estimating.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review quantity take-offs.
• Assist in developing conceptual project estimates and budgets.
• Support lump sum estimating and GMP budgeting by soliciting subcontractors.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontractor bids.
• Coordinate and provide information to subcontractors.
• Communicate with architects to clarify scope, materials, constructability.
• Review milestones to price value engineering alternatives.
• Prepare contractual scope-of-work exhibits for subcontracts.
• Support field operations with change order pricing.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors for competitive pricing.
• Represent Clark Pacific at industry events.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Stay current on estimating technologies and best practices.
