Horrocks is seeking a Design-Build Drainage Lead for our Innovative Pursuits Team in Tucson, AZ. Lead drainage engineering for transportation projects, coordinate with discipline leads, and drive DB/PDB pursuits to deliver value-added designs.

Applicants should have a PE license, 10+ years leading drainage design, 3+ years of DOT DB/PDB experience, and strong leadership and client skills. We offer a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage discipline engineering teams for transportation DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects
• Coordinate with other discipline leads
• Integral member of the project delivery team
• Lead drainage/hydraulic design, analyses, studies and reports
• Utilize Microstation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D effectively
• Communicate clearly with clients, staff and management
• Meet project deadlines consistently
• Grow professionally within project teams
• Be willing to work on local and Rocky Mountain Region projects

Compensation: $180,000 - $230,000 / year

We are teamed with local and national contractors, and together we provide our clients with innovative solutions that drive projects to success. Our goal is to provide value-added designs that help make our teams successful in the pursuit and delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead drainage discipline engineering teams for transportation (freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared use facilities) DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects
• Coordinate with other discipline leads
• Integral member of the project delivery team
• Lead drainage/hydraulic design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks
• Knowledge and experience with Microstation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation drainage engineering
• Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
• Ability and commitment to be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines
• A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Current PE license, preferred state(s): UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA
• 10+ years of leading drainage design for infrastructure projects
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience
• Must be able to work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
• Outstanding client and personnel skills and the ability to persuasively communicate at all levels
• Organized and detail-oriented
