ARCO/Murray National Construction in Emeryville, CA is seeking a high-energy Project Manager with an engineering background to drive projects from conception through closeout. You’ll manage estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reporting, cost reporting, safety, and coordination with owners and design teams.

You will lead buyout, coordinate subcontractors, and conduct site meetings to ensure quality and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program.
• Open to full-time opportunity post grad.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Prior construction internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss cost-saving ideas, and provide value engineering.
• Oversee buyout process and subcontractor selection.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings.
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
