Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Manager- Design Automation in Germantown, TN/Atlanta, GA. This leader will drive the design automation group, automate elevator component 3D models and 2D drawings, vet innovative ideas, perform product research, develop specifications, and coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in technical design, documentation, or automation.
• 5+ years in people management / building cohesive teams.
• Strong aptitude for basic programming and design principles.
• Ability to communicate the department and product vision.
• Experience setting out the vision and roadmap for products.
• Exemplary judgment regarding usability, customer expectations, and tradeoffs.
• PM processes (PMP) highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Leads design automation group and drives KPI’s.
• Vets innovation ideas against business strategy and resources.
• Develops project budgets, schedules, and resource estimates.
• Defines system parameters, product application, and system rules.
• Manages CTO-focused automation projects to drive CTO volume to manufacturing.
• Provides automation support to engineering groups for non-standard designs.
• Ensures documentation and control of design concepts and specifications.
• Collaborates with IP, Legal, and QA to protect interests and quality standards.
