Job summary

Intel Corporation in the United States is seeking a Design Automation Engineer (TFM/EDA) to optimize design environments. You will install, maintain, and support design automation tools, scripts, and licenses for front-end and back-end flows.

You will collaborate with EDA providers, PDK and library experts, and product design teams to improve workflows and scalability. The role offers hybrid work in multiple US locations including Folsom, Hillsboro, Santa Clara, Phoenix, and Santa Clara.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required or the ability to obtain US government security clearance TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 6+ years of hands-on infrastructure/DevOps experience OR higher degrees with corresponding experience.
• Experience with front-end and back-end EDA tools, flows, and methodologies, including debugging and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Resolve tool/methodology issues during the design path to TapeOut.
• Provide training and documentation support for design ramp-up activities.
• Collaborate with EDA providers to ensure tool features meet quality expectations.
• Partner with PDK/library experts and design teams to drive workflow improvements.
• Provision compute capacity and troubleshoot related issues for design environments.
• Develop automation for installation and optimization of design environments, PDKs, EDA tools, and licenses.
• Ensure smooth integration of new tools into workflows and drive adoption across teams.
