EQVAL Group, Inc. in Puerto Rico is seeking a Design Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of automated equipment and systems.

You will design and program PLCs, assist in vision system integration, and support robotics projects to improve manufacturing processes, while creating CAD models and wiring schematics.

The role emphasizes compliance with safety and quality standards, cross-functional teamwork, and professional growth through EQVAL Academy.

Qualifications

• ,Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical backgrounds preferred).
• 2+ years experience in regulated industry (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices).
• Experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Familiarity with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) and robotics (FANUC, ABB).
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), with knowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and programming of PLCs, assist in the integration of vision systems, and support robotic automation projects to improve manufacturing processes.
• Assist in creating CAD models, wiring schematics, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment providing strong foundation in automation technologies.

Requirements:

• Previous 2+ years experience in regulated industry (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices).
