Job summary

EQVAL Group, Inc. is seeking a Process Development Engineer to support development, validation, and implementation of new manufacturing processes in Puerto Rico.

You will generate documentation, optimize processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in regulated environments, hands-on automation, and strong technical writing skills, with bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
• Experience in regulated industries (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices).
• Experience with automated manufacturing systems and equipment (laser welding, etc.).
• Experience with automation/controls, tooling, fixtures, test method development.
• Proficiency in DOE, FMEA, CAPA, and root-cause investigation.
• Good technical writing skills.
• Fully bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform process validation and equipment qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and develop Master Validation Plans.
• Generate equipment documentation (evaluations, PM/calibration procedures) and manufacturing instructions.
• Design and develop in-process and receiving inspection systems for new components and processes.
• Characterize, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes through DOE, PFMEA, and risk analysis.
• Work with technologies such as laser welding, heat bonding, injection molding, vision systems, and automation (PLC/servo/pneumatics/sensors).

We are seeking Process Development Engineers that will supports the development, validation, and implementation of new manufacturing processes. The role involves documentation generation, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform process validation and equipment qualification activities / reports (IQ, OQ, PQ) and develop Master Validation Plans.

• Good technical writing skills.

• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).

*This position will be full-time 100% on site in Puerto Rico.
