Job summary

At Home Stores LLC is seeking a Design Assistant to support the Design team in interpreting brand concepts to design compelling merchandise. The role reports to the Design Director as part of the Brand Concept and Design Team.

Work location is hybrid with onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; work from home Mondays and Fridays. The team collaborates closely with Product and Brand concept teams to deliver seasonal color, print, and material strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1+ years of relevant Product Design, Product Development, or Trend experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Adobe Creative Suite experience highly desirable.
• Excellent eye for color, pattern, design details and craftsmanship.
• Presentation skills – verbal, written and creative visuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Design Managers, Associate Managers and Director with product directives.
• Partner with Brand Concept Team to understand and execute Concept vision, including color, silhouette, materiality, print & pattern each season.
• Assist team in scheduling meetings, note taking and meeting follow up activities.
• Identify product opportunities informed by Concept Team, market research and consumer insight.
• Assist Associate Design Manager with maintaining libraries, templates, folders and other best practices for the team.
• Cultivate category and industry expertise.
