Job summary

At Home Group Inc. in Coppell, TX is seeking a Design Assistant to support the Design team in translating brand concepts into compelling merchandise that aligns with the At Home vision. Reports to Design Director as a team member of the Brand Concept and Design Team.

Hybrid work schedule: onsite Tue-Thu and work from home Mon-Fri. The role collaborates with Brand Concept Team on color, silhouette, materiality, print and pattern each season, while assisting with meetings and project organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field.
• 1+ years of product design, development, or trend experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred.
• Strong eye for color, pattern, design details and craftsmanship.
• Excellent presentation skills (verbal, written and visuals).
• Ability to develop/maintain strong working relationships with peers and team.
• Quick learner and adaptable to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support Design Managers, Associate Managers and Director with product directives.
• Collaborate with Brand Concept Team to execute Concept vision, including color, silhouette, materiality, print & pattern each season.
• Assist team in scheduling meetings, note taking and meeting follow-up activities.
• Identify product opportunities informed by Concept Team, market research and consumer insight.
• Assist with maintaining libraries, templates, folders and other best practices for the team.
• Cultivate category and industry expertise.
• Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

Work Location Details

Work Location: Home Office - Coppell, TX

Work Schedule: Hybrid

• Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Assists Design Managers, Associate Managers and Director with product directives
