Job summary

The Oasis at Death Valley, operated by Xanterra, is looking for a bartender to deliver exceptional guest service by mixing cocktails, pouring drafts, and wine service across multiple bar outlets, including The Inn Bar and Last Kind Words Saloon.

This full-time, year-round position offers $17.20 per hour, a typical 40-hour schedule, potential weekend/evening shifts, employee housing, meals, health and retirement benefits, park pass, and other employee perks.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years bartending in a hotel, restaurant or bar.
• Familiar with mixing cocktails, pouring wine and beer, and bar equipment.
• Experience in high-volume environments preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and personable under pressure.
• Effective communication with guests, teammates and supervisors.
• TIPS alcohol awareness certification required or provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service by mixing cocktails and serving beverages efficiently.
• Record beverage orders in the POS and handle payments accurately.
• Promote menu knowledge and up-sell wine and beverages.
• Maintain clean, stocked lounge and service areas.
• Adhere to alcohol policies and safety standards.
