Job summary

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an Environmental Technician for a short-term project near Searchlight, NV. The role includes operating skid-steer, forklift, and water truck, assisting the vegetation team, and collecting samples under supervision.

The position pays $18–$20 per hour with travel pay at 1.5x, OT after 8 hours, and includes paid travel time to the site located 30–40 miles from Searchlight on the CA side.

Qualifications

• Attention to Detail, Organizing Skills, Working in Hot, Cold, Wet and Noisy Environment
• HS diploma / GED
• Current MSHA Certification (desired).
• HAZWOPER, and DOT certifications for waste inspections and disposals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment (skid-steer, forklift, water truck)
• Assist the Environmental Engineer with vegetation tasks and plant care
• Collect soil, water, waste samples and document observations
• Conduct regular environmental inspections for regulatory compliance
• Maintain records, reports, and SOPs related to environmental activities
• Support waste inspections and hazardous material handling as needed
• Promote environmental awareness among site personnel
• Ensure safety and compliance in field operations
