Job summary

Turner Staffing Group seeks an Environmental Technician for a project near Searchlight, NV. The role includes operating equipment (skid-steer, forklift, water truck), collecting samples, and assisting with environmental compliance under the Environmental Engineer.

The position pays $18–$20 per hour with travel pay at 1.5x and overtime after 8 hours. Schedule is Mon–Thu, ~10 hours/day, with 30–40 miles travel from site. Transportation to/from site is provided.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, organizing skills, working in hot, cold, wet, and noisy environment.
• HS diploma / GED.
• Current MSHA certification (desired).
• HAZWOPER and DOT certifications for waste inspections and disposals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as skid-steer, forklift, and water truck.
• Assist with plant nursery tasks including irrigation tubing replacement and planting.
• Collect soil, water, and waste samples for Environmental Engineer.
• Prepare field notes and reports; oversee environmental compliance tasks.
• Support sustainability initiatives and desert tortoise protections.
