National Star Services is hiring cooks for our Des Plaines, IL location. You will be responsible for food preparation and production, ensuring quality, consistency, and safety in a fast-paced kitchen. The role requires cooking experience, bilingual English/Spanish abilities, and reliable transportation.

Schedule is 1st shift, 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday through Sunday with two days off per week. Pay is $18.55/hour, biweekly.

Qualifications

• Two forms of ID required.
• Bilingual English & Spanish.
• Previous cooking experience required.
• Must wear slip-resistant shoes.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in large quantities following standardized recipes.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards are met.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Assist with inventory management and waste reduction efforts.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
