Job summary

National Star Services in Des Plaines, IL is seeking Pastry Helpers to assist the pastry production team across stations. You will support cooks and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, with a first shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm and pay at $17.50 per hour.

Overtime is available at $26.25/hour. Qualifications include bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, reliable transportation, and prior kitchen or manufacturing experience.

• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

NationalStar Services is a 28-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of Pastry Helpersto work at our location inDes Plaines, IL 60018.

Job responsibilities

• Assisted the pastry production team, chefs, and cooks in preparing and mixing pastry products.
• Work in different station such as (Fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food etc.)
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
• Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety tea.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.

Schedule:

Monday - Sunday, with 2 days off during the week.
(Weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor).

1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Regular pay rate:

$17.50/Hr.

Overtime:

$26.25/Hr.

Requirements:

• Bilingual proficiency inEnglish and Spanishis required for this role.
• Own transportation to get to and from work.
• Must provide two valid forms of ID.
• Must have experience working in a kitchen or manufacturing site.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to start working as soon as possible.
