Job summary

Des-Case seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our QEMS. You will partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and leadership to improve processes, reduce risk, and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

You will drive audits, CAPA, and data-driven decisions, while mentoring a high-performing quality team in a climate-controlled Goodlettsville plant in Tennessee.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a quality leadership or supervisory role, or eight (8) years in quality assurance/quality engineering.
Strong understanding of quality management systems and manufacturing quality principles.
Demonstrated experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Maintain and continually improve the Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS) per ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Develop, monitor, and report KPIs to measure QEMS effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
Lead root cause investigations using 8D and Fishbone Analysis.
Manage CAPA programs and verify effectiveness of solutions.
Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends and improve process capability.
Lead internal quality audits and support external certification and customer audits.
Translate customer requirements into quality controls and inspection plans.
Develop and maintain control plans to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Manage supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and supplier improvement initiatives.
Recruit, mentor, and develop members of the quality team; foster accountability and collaboration.

As our Quality Supervisor, you’ll lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS). You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our products, processes, and suppliers consistently meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements while helping drive a culture of quality across the organization.

This is a highly visible leadership role that partners with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to improve processes, reduce risk, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What You’ll Do

Quality Systems Leadership

Maintain and continuously improve the Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Fishbone Analysis.
Manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs and verify the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, improve process capability, and strengthen production controls.
Design and implement testing methods that support incoming inspection activities and root cause investigations.

Audits & Compliance

Lead internal quality audits and support external certification and customer audits.
Ensure audit findings are addressed effectively and drive sustainable improvements.

Customer & Supplier Quality

Translate customer requirements into effective quality controls and inspection plans.
Develop and maintain control plans designed to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Manage supplier qualification programs, performance monitoring, and supplier improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, mentor, and develop members of the quality team.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Coach team members on quality tools, systems, and best practices.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence throughout the organization.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a quality leadership or supervisory role, or eight (8) years of progressive experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality engineering.
Strong understanding of quality management systems and manufacturing quality principles.
Demonstrated experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Advanced knowledge of metrology, blueprint reading, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Experience with PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and other automotive/manufacturing quality tools.
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification (Lead Auditor preferred).
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent quality certification.
Experience using statistical methods and data analysis to improve manufacturing processes.
