Job summary

Ensign Energy Services Inc. seeks an experienced Derrickman to support our drilling operations in Texas. The Derrickman operates the derrick, supports pipe handling, and helps ensure safe, efficient drilling.

You will perform drilling fluid management, equipment checks, rig assembly/disassembly, and work with the rig crew to maintain high safety standards. This role requires physical stamina and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating derricks, hoisting systems, and mud measurement.
• Ability to handle drill pipe and tools while aiding smooth operations.
• Physical stamina for long shifts, high work areas and extreme conditions.
• Ability to monitor mud weight and viscosity and assist pump operations.
• Strong teamwork and communication with Drillers and rig crew.

Responsibilities

• Align, connect, and handle drill pipe and assist the Driller and rig crew.
• Monitor and maintain mud systems and prepare chemical mixtures as directed.
• Inspect and maintain mud, chemical, and pump room tools and equipment.
• Assist rig erection and dismantling while verifying derrick and hoist integrity.
• Follow safety requirements and participate in safety drills and meetings.
