Job summary

Ensign Drilling is hiring Derrickhands to join their oilfield drilling teams across TX, ND, CO, WY, and UT. You will operate and maintain the derrick, manage drilling fluids, and support safe, efficient drilling operations with a high-performing crew.

Ideal candidates are experienced, safety-focused, and prepared to work in challenging environments while collaborating with team members to meet production goals. Training and ongoing safety culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Derrickhand experience.
• Knowledge of drilling operations, derricks, hoisting systems, and mud measurement.
• Ability to handle, sort, and stack drill pipe and tools.
• Physical stamina to work long shifts, at height and in extreme weather.
• Ability to assist with mud pump operations and monitor mud weight/viscosity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and ability to follow instructions accurately.

What You’ll Need
