Epiphany Dermatology in Waco, TX is seeking a dedicated Histotechnician/Histotechnologist to join our dermatopathology lab. You will embed, section, and stain specimens under supervision, supporting a multi-site dermatology practice with accurate lab services and strict regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in a lab, ASCP certification (BS preferred), and either an AS or BS in relevant fields. We offer robust benefits and opportunities for growth in a fast-growing organization.

Competenze

• Histotechnician: Associate’s degree and successful completion of certified program for laboratory.
• ASCP certification required; Histotechnologist (preferred) with BS and ASCP certification.
• Minimum of two years of related laboratory experience as a technician.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Mansioni

• Delivers safe and accurate lab services under supervision of Laboratory Manager.
• Completes training/orientation on Epiphany laboratory protocols and testing.
• Prepares, processes and sends specimens per OSHA labeling and handling protocols.
• Performs administrative lab duties including follow-up on results and limited billing tasks.
• Assists with Mohs surgery by sectioning and staining slides.
• Ensures requisitions are complete and accurate for all specimens.
• Receives, organizes, and prepares tissue samples for macroscopic evaluation.
• Entrants data into EMR and maintains CLIA records and documentation.
• Maintains lab organization, equipment, and waste disposal per guidelines.
• Provides excellent customer service and protects patient confidentiality.
• Participates in meetings and suggests practice improvements.
