Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and patients in a busy dermatology practice. You will verify patient information, document medical histories, and assist during exams and procedures.

This role includes phlebotomy, wound care, and coordinating tests and labs. Travel to Beavercreek is required one day per week, with duties performed in the clinic and supported by the Practice Manager and physicians.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in medical office preferred.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
• Familiarity with ModMed EMA EMR preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and recording medical history.
• Enter medical history and visit data into the EMR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for physician exams.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Phone in prescriptions to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Take and manage wound care, phlebotomy, and wound dressing tasks.
• Maintain supplies, inventory, and sterilize instruments.
• Provide scribe support and coordinate patient communications.
