The role supports clinicians in both medical and procedural dermatology, with responsibilities including scribing, rooming patients, and assisting with procedures. Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
• Dermatology experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Experience with medical scribing and electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Scribe in real time during patient visits, documenting histories, exams, assessments, and plans in the EHR.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories.
• Prepare patients and rooms for examinations and procedures.
• Assist with dermatology procedures, including biopsies and excisions.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument setup and breakdown.
• Clean, sterilize, and store instruments per protocol.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions.
• Manage prior authorizations, refills, and follow-up tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient patient flow.
