Job summary

Advanced Dermatology in Evergreen, Alabama seeks an enthusiastic Medical Assistant/Scribe to support daily clinic operations. This full-time, hourly position (32-40 hours/week) offers a dynamic work environment in a dermatology practice.

You will prepare exam rooms, document visits, manage EMR entries, enter MIPS data, assist with biopsies, and maintain supplies. Strong communication and reliability are essential in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant or CNA diploma preferred.
• At least one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s of science or biology will be considered.
• Proficient with verbal and written communication.
• Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for clinic day (exam rooms, iPads, laptops, LN2).
• Create visit notes, ascertain chief complaints, review systems and history, input changes.
• Enter MIPS data (vaccines, screenings, melanoma tracking).
• Review and enter forms for patients.
• Assist with biopsies/surgeries, draw medications, injections.
• Document in logs for biopsies and testing; maintain accuracy.
• Perform wound checks and suture removals; create notes.
• Complete iPledge paperwork and register patients.
• Scan and attach documents; maintain patient charts.
• Communicate continuation of care as directed by doctors.
• Complete referrals and physician communication logs.
