Job summary

Forefront Dermatology in Pittsburgh seeks a Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The role supports the dermatologist during patient visits, rooms patients, and helps maintain a friendly, efficient environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include scribing, post-op wound care, blood draws, and assisting with dermatology procedures. Requires CMA/LPN/RN credentials or enrollment in Forefront Derm Tech program, and willingness to travel between clinic locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or DERM Tech a plus.
• Must stay current on state certifications, licenses, and registrations.
• Willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document all vital information.
• Scribe information for the dermatologist.
• Provide post-op wound care to patients.
• Draw blood and perform suture removal.
• Clean and stock exam rooms.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Assist the dermatologist with procedures such as surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, I&D, Mohs surgery, phototherapy, injections, Koh preps, Trichograms, Tzank preps, dermabrasion, patch testing, and blue light.
